Smash Burger Tacos with Special Sauce
A lighter yet still protein-packed, satisfying twist on a classic burger. Quick, fun, and totally worth the hype.
Makes: 8 tacos
Ingredients
Tacos
1 lb lean ground beef
Salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika
8 small tortillas (flour or Siete)
Pickles, finely chopped
Shredded iceberg lettuce
Cheddar cheese
Special Sauce
1/3 cup Greek yogurt
1 tsp mayo or 1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp ketchup
1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp pickle juice or apple cider vinegar
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp paprika
Pinch of salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
Season ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
Divide into 8 small balls. Place each on a tortilla and smash/spread to the edges.
Heat a skillet over medium-high. Cook tacos meat-side down until browned.
Flip, add cheese, and let it melt while the tortilla crisps.
Serve with shredded lettuce, pickles, and a drizzle of special sauce.
