Smash Burger Tacos with Special Sauce

A lighter yet still protein-packed, satisfying twist on a classic burger. Quick, fun, and totally worth the hype.

Makes: 8 tacos

Ingredients

Tacos

  • 1 lb lean ground beef

  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika

  • 8 small tortillas (flour or Siete)

  • Pickles, finely chopped

  • Shredded iceberg lettuce

  • Cheddar cheese

Special Sauce

  • 1/3 cup Greek yogurt

  • 1 tsp mayo or 1 tsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp ketchup

  • 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tsp pickle juice or apple cider vinegar

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp paprika

  • Pinch of salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Season ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

  2. Divide into 8 small balls. Place each on a tortilla and smash/spread to the edges.

  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high. Cook tacos meat-side down until browned.

  4. Flip, add cheese, and let it melt while the tortilla crisps.

  5. Serve with shredded lettuce, pickles, and a drizzle of special sauce.
